Skill is something that you can develop through practice but will or desire is something you can feel when you have a strong reason or strong to do such things. If we want to understand what is more important between skill and desire for that We have an example of a car. The outer material of the car is a skill and gas inside the car which you can consider as a will or desire. The desire without skill is like a car without a petrol, so the will is more important than the skills in your life. Finding the will to do something is totally depends on how you are emotionally connected to the cause of doing that work.
